About Naj
The first Web TV Fashion personality. A trendsetter. Style innovator. Social media phenomenon. CEO and proud creator of Styleaholics Productions LLC. Najwa Moses serves as the vanguard of what’s new in fashion, technology, art, culture and entertainment.
Moses began changing the world immediately after graduating from the Fashion Institute of Technology in 2001 by working in the business development and marketing department for the Brooklyn Chamber of Commerce’s Brooklyn Style. She not only helped independent designers develop their business acumen but created the Closet Shopping Party, an event designed to assist emerging designers with gaining the necessary press and industry exposure to succeed in the marketplace. The first Closet Shopping Party took place in 2002 with over 600 attendees and was duly noted by media outlets such as Time Out New York, NY Post, Style.com and The New York Daily News. Since its inception, the Closet Shopping Party has inspired countless imitations of her groundbreaking event.
Refusing to rest on her laurels, Najwa honed her launched her online TV show the “In List” in 2006 on her website Styleaholics.com, where she provided an up close and personal trip into the world of fashion, beauty and entertainment. Some of her illustrious guests have included Sean “Diddy” Combs, Iman, Marc Ecko, Russell Simmons, Diane Von Furstenberg and a bevvy of rising fashion and music stars.
The global exposure of her web TV show led to Najwa being selected as the fashion voice of choice. Her career highlights include: Fashion reporting for the NPR and AOL, being signed to avant-garde talent and modeling agency UGLY NY, being featured on ABC 7 News, Fox 5, The Today Show and the Rachel Ray Show, being heralded as a Black Girl That Rocks by Trace Magazine, and being chosen as a brand ambassador for Toyota Camry, MTV/Converse, Redken NYC as well as serving as the Blogging Editor for luxury e-commerce site Bluefly.com for the past two years.
Running in heels at the dawn of a new decade, Najwa finds herself chosen by Metro PCS as the face of their new, national advertising campaign launching Summer 2010, identified in Paper Magazine’s May 2010 “Social Networking” issue as one of social media’s greatest influencers and being selected as a Culture & Style correspondent for Viacom’s Centric TV.
By utilizing the latest digital technology and her niche brand of fashion expertise, Moses seeks to explode the Styleaholics brand and solidify her position as the premiere go-to-expert for all things STYLE. This purpose is served by the re-launch of a new Styleaholics.com website under the Styleaholics by Najwa Moses brand, which will include a new web TV mini-series and a by-the-minute fashion trend report.
There is little doubt that Najwa Moses continues to be an impresario on the rise and a personality to watch.
