Hailing from St. Petersburg, Florida, the energetic popstar, Alexandra Amor is making a name for herself in the competitive industry of music. The eager star was first introduced to Josh Mendez of Rich Music Ltd and was quickly signed to Jimmy J Management/Rich Music Ltd. She soon released her hit song “Superstar” which continues to build up her strong fan base through Twitter, YouTube, and Facebook.

The friendly popstar is currently in the studio with The Agency working on her debut album. Alexandra is both focused and determined while working daily to develop and perfect her craft. She states, “I am very excited and anxious to get on the road and on the stage. I can’t wait to meet all the fans that have gotten me this far. They are an inspiration to me every single day.”

Let’s get to know Alexandra better…

What first attracted you to the competitive but creative field of music?

I first took my artistry seriously in 8th grade when my friend insisted I audition for the school Musical “Guys & Dolls.” Growing up with an athletic background I thought her suggestion was crazy, but after auditioning I received the Lead Role….. after my first taste of the lights and stage, I immediately fell in love with my new found passion for music, acting and performing as a whole.

You first had a love for acting, how was the transition from acting to singing?

Acting & Singing went hand in hand, as it was a Musical!

Music is such a powerful tool in today’s society, how do you want your music to impact your listeners?

I imagine my music will provide a positive message to my fans, if they are sad I want them to cry while listening to my music, if they are happy I want them to smile while listening. I foresee my music being appealing and providing a positive impact for whatever my listeners are going thru. I want my music to help and uplift my fans, as music has helped me throughout the ups and downs of my life.

How have you used your gifts and talents to give back to the community?

Growing up, I’ve been involved in various charities “Walk for Life”, “UNICEF”, “The Dream Factory” and I intend to keep doing so throughout my life, I think it’s important that we help others in need. “Be the change you wish to see in the world”

How important has the Internet been with getting your music out and connecting with your fan base?

The internet, thus far has been everything to me. Being able to connect directly to my fans via twitter, facebook & my website has been an absolute blessing. I think it’s very important having that intimate relationship with the fans, they understand and support me, and I support them back. The internet has planted the seed, which has grown into my family. Love you Mi Amors!

Why did you launch your hit series “Chasing the Dream?”

Again, to keep building that intimate relationship with my fans. The show is as personal as it gets, I want them with me every step of the way. The music industry is a crazy business, having “Chasing the Dream” allows them to see everything, all my highs and lows.

What piece advice would give to other young ladies who want to follow in your footsteps?

I would say if your passionate, work hard. The key ingredient is having integrity, in everything you do- in every move you make- every second of the day.

What makes you a Styleaholic?

AA: I love keeping up to date with the latest fashion trends, while adding a little of my personal style twist to it.. putting an Amor Kiss on them ;p
