MS. EXCLUSIVE SNEAKER AFICIONADO ILLUMINATI™’s blog   lol… since I blog on myspace (www.myspace.com/ekone5) I think that’s my blogs name.

What’s your blog beat?
 
In a vague way I blog about the exclusive lifestyle. I cover traditional forms of luxury like fine hand bags and exotic or classic automobiles, but my bead and butter is sneakers, streetware, and street art.
 Why exclusive items like sneakers and hoodies and one of a kind items?
 
Good question, well I started blogging because with my last job ( Nike’s chief trend forecaster for the urban market) I was traveling a lot and I was keeping in contact with friends at home. I was posting news  and seeing that more and more people where reading. So I talked more, and my audience kept growing. I only cover things I like, but I want to also educate people that maybe newer to this movement. I wanted to make this place of open ideas and a place that was vastly different than places like Nike Talk. Where if you asked a question you would be hated on.

You push MAD Product are you getting any payment or sponsorship by these different brands?
 
I have never been payed to post or talk about anything. I talk about what I like. I think that is what keeps it pure.

How big is your viewership and where are they located?
 
I have tons of people reading my blog. Enough to not even think about changing it from “just another myspace blog”. I get ruffly 200,000 page views a day. Thats tons of people. Wile 87% of them are in the US I have a readership in Iceland, Great Britain, Austria, France,  , Hungary, Greece, Australia and Finland. Its crazy how big this sub-culture is.

 What are some other sneaker/streetware blogs that you respect?
 
I like Honeyee (like 99.9999% of the blogs on there), C to the JL, and To Darrin Hudson ( Jeff Stapel’s blog)
 

Top 3 favorite brands and why?
FRAGMENT DESIGN, NEIGHBORHOOD, AND HERMES. I love these brands because there easily the best at what they do. I would go so far to say that if you want to start a brand, get a pen and a paper and latterly study these brands…….. hard like its the fucking SAT’s

 Who is your sneaker icon? i.e., Bobbito…
 
I have three people Nolan Breitbarth, Phil Knight, and  Bill Bowerman. If it wasn’t for these three I would have lost 80% of my sneakers. I would have lost my Dunks, Air Force ones, Jordans, or Waffle Trainers. No Jumpman, Swoosh, or ACG logos so wipe clean. No Mars Blackman, Space Jam, or Lance Armstrong to look up to. No Nike’s to force me to collect. No Nike.

Are you doing this for a living and making money from it?
 
I wish. I haven’t got one cent from blogging.

 What’s next for you and the blog?
 
I’m going to take over the world…. really.

Do what you want to do, write what you care about, and forget about what others think. If they don’t like you there are millions of other blogs in hyperspace.
